Overview
Built in 1901, as one of a group of grand hotels by the Sarkies brothers, The Strand Hotel is recognized as a national landmark. Recently renovated to reflect the epoch of the 1920’s and 1930’s, the hotel reopened in November 1993 and is now managed and operated by Amanresorts. The Strand Hotel is located on Strand Road, close by the Yangon (Rangoon) River in the city's main commercial and diplomatic district. From Yangon airport, it's less than 30 minutes by private limousine to The Strand Hotel.

Facilities & Services
Accommodation : There are 32 suites featuring high ceilings, polished wooden floors with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The Strand Suite, the premier suite, features a master bedroom, two sitting rooms, dining room and two bathrooms. The 23 Deluxe and 8 Superior suites are all of a similar design, with deluxe suites offering a better location and views. All suites are tastefully furnishes with comfortable chairs and sofas, either king or twin double beds and bathrooms feature separate bath, shower, with full amenities. A personal safe, remote-controlled “satellite” television and local art/antiques are included in every suite.
