They harmonically live with other small communities of British, Australian, Vietnam, French, Chinese, New Zealand, Vietnamese and other Pacific islands people. Until 1980, Vanuatu was jointly governed by France and Great Britain as a 'condominium', and then it world-widely known as the New Hebrides.
