Getting there Palembang, the main point of South Sumatra is accessible from any part of Indonesia by air, land and sea.The Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin Il Airport situated 12 kms from the center of Palembang provide air services to Jakarta, to another main cities Indonesia, and to Singapore by Silk air.
Boom Baru, the Harbour of Palembang in Musi River could be reached by sea as well as Pangkal Balam in Bangka Island.To have traveling by land, there are buses entering the southern gate from Lampung, the northern gate from Jambi and the western gate from Bengkulu.
Special buses for tourist are sometimes completed with convenient facilities. There is also train route connecting Lampung - Palembang three times a day and Palembang - Lubuk Linggau two times a day and vice versa. |
